Frenchman Geniez Alexandre who rides for Total Energies on Sunday won the prologue of this year’s Tour du Rwanda after using 4 minutes, 41 seconds and 65 micro seconds in the 4 km race around the Kigali Arena. Colombias Resterepo Valencia came in second place but it was a bad day for Rwandans as they performed poorly in the race with Renus Byiza finishing in 25th place after using five minutes and one second. 89 riders from 19 teams started the race from the major cycling nations in Africa and worldwide.
