Renowned Rwandan musician Chriss Eazy will be the first artiste to hold the mic and perform during the opening ceremony of the pre-qualifying tournament of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 which kicks off tonight at BK Arena. Rwanda’s renowned traditional dance troupe, Inganzo Ngari, and Ishami Talent will also grace the ceremony while DJ June and Ira, will be spinning the 'hottest' tracks during the game between Rwanda and Lebanon at 8pm local time. “Halftime just got lit! The Rwandan women’s national basketball team will be appearing at the world stage for the first time as it takes part in the pre-qualifying tournament. The tournament will see eight countries competing in Groups C and D, with the goal of advancing to the World Cup’s main tournament that will take place in March 2026.
