Local giants APR have stretched their record unbeaten run in the Rwanda premier league to 46 matches following a tightly contested 1-0 victory over Espoir at Kigali Stadium on Wednesday. The army side, who clinched the league title unbeaten in the last two seasons, are now one point behind leaders SC Kiyovu. The latter have played two more games. Full-back Fitina Omborenga scored the lone goal in the 71st to lift APR to 23 points after 10 matches this season. APR have not lost a league game since May 25, 2019, when they were upset 2-1 by Espoir. Kiyovu held Meanwhile, hopefuls SC Kiyovu had their lead narrowed to a solitary point after playing out a 1-1 draw with Bugesera on Wednesday. Thierry Ndayishimiye broke the deadlock to give Kiyovu the lead in the 68th minute before Junior Didier rescued a draw for the host Bugesera with a late equalizer.
