Etoile de l’est attacker Peter Agblevor is elated after netting two goals in his club’s 2-2 draw with Champions APR FC in the Rwandan Premier League on Wednesday, December 22. The young Ghanaian striker was the star man at the Ngoma stadium as his goals in the 10th and 13th minute shot the newly promoted side ahead before APR fought back to draw with strikes from Yves Mugunga and Yannick Bizimana. Agblevor, who was signed by Etoile in September this year from Ghanaian third tier side Soccer Intellectuals FC was happy with his output as he maintains this is his best game so far in the league. “I am very glad with my output, this is undoubtedly my best outing in the league this season. To score two goals against a team like APR is a great achievement and I will forever remember this game.” Agblevor told Weekend Sport. “It was an exciting game, our target was to give them their first defeat in the league but they fought back to equalize and it ended in a draw.” The talented forward further stressed that he has adapted to the Rwandan premier league and the fans should expect more from him. “I can say that I have adapted to the league, I have become very conversant with the system and the style of play. The supporters should expect more from me and I promise to do my best to put the club in a better position.” He added. Agblevor has netted four goals in nine games in the Rwandan premier league and has been Etoile’s best player this campaign.
