Having an effective cooperation mechanism between political parties of the world can go a long way in coming up with sustainable solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges, according to Francois Ngarambe, the Secretary General of the RPF-Inkotanyi, the ruling party in Rwanda. He said this while attending virtually, a conference dubbed; “Global Challenges of the 21st Century: Interparty dimension”, which was organized as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the United Russia Party, which has led Russia for two decades. “The international inter-party cooperation should be supported by the adoption of the pro-people centred ideology by individual political parties as a sustainable and effective approach in finding solutions to global challenges of our time,” Ngarambe said. He said that currently, the global community is also faced with challenges of global institutions that do not uphold the moral principles of equality and adequate resource sharing among others, which he said has had some devastating effects, many of them being transboundary. The conference was also attended by Dmitry Medvedev, the Chairperson of the United Russia Party who also doubles as the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. The RPF-Inkotanyi and the United Russia Party enjoy cordial bilateral ties spanning years. Earlier this year, the RPF and United Russia Party signed a cooperation agreement where both political organizations will collaborate in a number of areas to enhance the welfare of their people. Such areas of cooperation include construction, organizational work, women and youth cooperation, economic development, and other areas of mutual interest.
