Children and environmental protection

My name is Elly Habumugisha and I am 10 years old. Environmental protection is everyones responsibility. I know that water bodies like lakes and rivers should be protected since they are part of our good environment. I am called Gorriet Kayitesi and I am 10 years old. We plant flowers in our school compound and at home. This is a sign of keeping the environment green. For me, this is one way in which I protect the environment. Paul Hakizimana is my name and I am 11 years old. Protecting the environment is important because it keeps us healthy. It helps us in to grow food for eating. People can not survive with out food. Pacific Habineza is my names and I am 12 years old. It’s important to protect our environment in order to have a good life in the future. When we cut many trees, the environment is destroyed. I am Jean Rukundo and I am 12 years old. A good environment means a good life. We breathe in oxygen, which is got from plants. It’s therefore good to protect our plants so well so that they can grow and give us more oxygen. My name is Patrick Nkudimana and I am 12 years old. One way of protecting the environment is by avoiding playing carelessly with fire. When fire gets into the forests and bushes, it destroys the environment. This leads to soil erosion and with time, deserts are created. Ends
