Mukura Victory Sport striker William Opoku Mensah is confident that his side will bounce back after a poor start in the 2021/22 football league campaign. Mukura are yet to record a win after two games following a 1-0 defeat to Rayon Sports on match day one at Stade Kigali and a subsequent 1-1 draw with Gasogi United at Huye. However, their Ghanaian striker who masterminded their stay in the league with five goals and three assists last season is optimistic that they will come good as the league progresses since it is early days to be written off. “So far, we have played two games where we lost one and drew the other. I think the season is still young, we will definitely get better soon,” Mensah told Times Sport. “The fans know what I can do, that is scoring goals like I did last season. They should be patient and support me and the team. We will surely deliver this season.” Mukura were expected to play as guests to Marine FC on match day 3 of the league last Friday at the Umuganda Stadium but the match has been suspended by FERWAFA since Umuganda stadium, the venue of the tie, is not permitted to host matches.
