The Ministry of Education is set to release the results for candidates who sat for the national examination for S.6, Teacher Training College (TTC) as well as Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The results for the academic year 2020/21 will be released on Monday, November 15, 2021, the ministry announced in a tweet. The event will be held at the ministry headquarters in Kacyiru, Kigali. According to the National Examinations and Schools Inspection Authority (NESA), some 52,145 A-Level candidates sat S.6 exams in the academic year 2020/21. In addition, some 1,857 private candidates sat S.6 exams. Under the TVET category, 21,053 students did their national exams. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemics, schools were closed and national examinations were called off last year in 2020. According to the United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF) Rwanda, the exams were made possible through the resilience and determination of teachers, students, and families, who quickly adjusted to the new realities of school closures, remote learning from home, school calendar amendments, safe school reopening, and remedial education.
