Businessman Fabrice Shema has returned to the management of AS Kigali after the club’s general assembly re-elected him as its president for the next four years. Shema previously served in the same position from 2018 to 2023 but resigned in June last year, citing personal reasons. ALSO READ: AS Kigali boss Shema resigns Other appointments made by the general assembly include Emmanuel Rubagumya as the vice president of the club, Joseph Nshimiyimana as the general secretary, while Anne-Lise Kankindi was appointed treasurer. Last year, the city team faced serious financial problems, to the extent that the players sometimes refused to train. However, in preparation for this year’s season, the city administration increased the team’s budget to Rwf350 million to Rfw 150 million, a boost that is expected to improve the team’s welfare and performance.
