Bangladesh premier league side Saif Sporting Club have completed the signing of Rwanda international Emery Bayisenge from AS Kigali, on a one-year deal. The central defender returned to Saif Sporting Club after spending last season with AS Kigali where he helped the team to a second place finish in the 2020/21 Rwanda premier league. The former AS Kigali player left the country for Bangladesh on Wednesday night and is expected to start training for his new club on Saturday. Saif Sporting Club is an association football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It currently competes in the Bangladesh football premier league, the top flight league of Bangladeshi football. The club is owned by Saif Powertec Limited. Saif Sporting Club was formed in August 2016. On September 10. Bayisenge was one of the most influential players in Amavubi during McKinstry’s tenure as head coach. He is best remembered for guiding hosts Rwanda to quarter-finals of the 2016 African nations championship (CHAN) tournament. Regarded as one of the best defenders of the last decade that the country has produced, Bayisenge ended his five-year stint with APR in September 2016 to join KAC de Kénitra in Morocco. Bayisenge captained the U-17 Amavubi starlets that competed at the 2011 FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico, and has since he rose through the ranks rapidly, making his full Amavubi debut in 2012. The celebrated center-back has 37 international caps to his name.
