APR FC coach Mohammed Adil Erradi says his team is not afraid of playing Morocco’s Renaissance Sportive de Berkane in the third round of the CAF Confederation Cup. APR FC will host RS Berkane on November 28 before traveling to Morocco for the second leg on December 5. The winner after two legs will proceed to the group stages. “We will play against one of the top teams in Africa in the confederation cup so we must be ready for the game which is the most important for us,” Moroccan coach said. APR has a poor record against North African teams and they have never reached the group stage since making their debut in 1997. “Reaching the group stages will be tough but APR has proved to be strong, as we are playing good football and without fear. I am telling you the truth, we are not afraid of Berkane,” Adil added. RS Berkane is currently coached by Congolese Florent Ibengé, and is one of the top teams in Africa. APR FC’s best campaign in continental competitions was during 2004 when they reached the third round. Since then, APR, who are regarded as the country’s most successful club in Rwanda, has faltered in the continent’s competition.
