APR will face Rusizi in the quarterfinals at Amahoro Stadium on Saturday. APR is seeking to end Police’ dominance of local handball for the past ten years. The army side coach Anaclet Bagirishya said that they are taking it game by game as they want to win the tournament. “Our aim is to put in great effort to become a top team and I believe we can achieve it, and we look forward to the challenge,” Bagirishya said In the other last eight matches, Police will face University of Rwanda- Nyarugenge, ES Kigoma plays against Nyakabanda while Adegi Gituza will be up against University of Rwanda, Rwamagana. All matches will be played at Amahoro stadium. In the women’s category, Kiziguro SS will face Bugesera, Falcons take on University of Rwanda, Huye campus, University of Rwanda, Rukara will take on UR-Rusizi while Three Stars will face UR-Gikondo. The competition will also help to prepare the players for the 25th edition of the African men’s handball championship from January 13 to 23, 2022 in Morocco.
