Rayon Sports will be aiming to start this season on a brighter note when they welcome Mukura Victory at Kigali stadium on match day 1 of the 2021/2022 Rwanda premier on Saturday, October, 30. Both teams struggled last season with Mukura Victory escaping the drop zone on the final day of the campaign whereas their counterparts finished seventh which was their worst position in recent years. Rayon Sports has made many changes to their team by bringing in Burundian tactician Djuma Masudi and signing as many as ten players. Despite laboring in the early part of the pre-season, it seems they are gradually finding their feet as they ended the unbeaten run of Bugesera FC last week. Mukura FC were very quiet in the transfer window but they have brought in Ghanaian striker William Opoku Mensah who netted five goals and provided three assists last season which helped them to escape relegation. The striker delayed at home but he touched down in midweek to join his peers for the start of the campaign. The homeside will rely on the creativity of Blaise Ishimwe and Willy Essomba Onana to provide the needed arsenals for striker Souleymane Sanogo to bang in the goals. One area where Mukura FC could struggle is the middle of the pitch as they are yet to find a replacement after losing Mugisha Bonheur to APR FC in the just ended transfer window. Looking at the two teams, there could be lots of goals in the game but Rayon FC with their teeming fans looks favorite to win the day.
