Today Men Patriots Vs REG 8pm Women The Hoops Vs REG 5pm It will be a battle of the titans when defending champions Patriots face rivals Rwanda Energy group (REG) in the Playoff finals of the National Basketball League on Friday, October 29 at the Kigali Arena. The finals will be played in a “best of three series” format where the two opponents will play two games against each other, and if one team wins both, it will be declared champion. However, should they win one game each, they will then have to play a third match which will be the ultimate decider of who walks away with the title. The Friday game kicks-off at 8pm, and the two sides are expected to put in lots of effort to try and win it and make their chances of winning the title clearer. Bernard Ben Oluoch, the Head coach of Patriots told Times Sport about how serious the game is. “The slightest mistake can determine the winner and loser. We will ensure we avoid errors as much as possible.” In a separate interview, Henry Mwinuka, the Head Coach of REG said it is a crucial game and tough for both sides. “We are going to give it our very best shot for victory, and everyone on the team is ready for the challenge.” There is much at stake as the two teams tussle it out, since the league champion will win an automatic ticket to represent Rwanda in the upcoming season of the Basketball Africa League next year.
