The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has appointed experienced referee Jean Claude Ishimwe to officiate the highly anticipated Super Cup final between APR FC and Police FC on Saturday, August 10. Held annually, the Super Cup is played between local league champions and winners of the Peace Cup. This year's edition will take place at Kigali Pele Stadium at 3 PM. ALSO READ: Super Cup: Five new players to look out for in APR vs Police encounter APR FC enters the match with an impressive unbeaten record in the 2023/24 league season, while Police FC, under the guidance of Vincent Mashami, also proved their prowess as they clinched the Peace Cup with a 2-1 victory over a formidable Bugesera FC in the final. During the match, Ishimwe will be assisted by Dieudonne Mutuyimana and Didier Ishimwe as the first and second assistant referees, respectively, while Patrice Rulisa will serve as the fourth official. Jean Claude Ishimwe is an experienced referee who has previously officiated at major tournaments including the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
