The national volleyball league may start in November this year, the Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB) has said. According to Christian Hatumimana, the Executive Secretary of FRVB, after writing to the Ministry of Sports asking for permission to start the season in November, they are still waiting for a response, after which they will announce the dates for the new season. The request we presented to the Ministry of Sports entails guidelines by which teams must abide as they take part in the league,” he said. “We expect that if the green light is given to us, the league will be played and concluded in just 3 months, he added. Six clubs are expected to compete in the men’s category. They include: defending champions Rwanda Energy Group (REG), Gisagara VC , Kirehe VC, Tourism Technology and Business Studies (UTB), IPRC-South VC, and APR VC.
