Renowned Nigerian afro-pop singer Adekunle Gold is set to entertain music lovers in Kigali come November 5, organisers of the show confirm. The event will take place at Canal Olympia Rebero, a cultural village on Kigali. The fest will also feature Nep DJS, Neptunes Band and a fast-rising artiste Kenny Sol. One of the organisers who preferred anonimity, said that attendants will be required to show results of covid-19 test and a proof of vaccination at the venue. “This show will bring back the old vibes of Kigali,” he said. The singer who is a member of the famous Kosoko royal family of Lagos, is married to Simi, one of the best female artistes in Africa, and is one of the best afro singers that Africa has including Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy. Songs like ‘AG baby’, ‘It is what It Is, ‘Okay’ and ‘Something Different’ made him a household name in many countries including the west. Real name Adekunle Kosoko, the 34 year old, is a Nigerian highlife singer, songwriter and graphic designer. He gained widespread attention after releasing the 2015 hit single Sade, a highlife cover of One Direction’s Story of My Life. In 2015, he signed a record deal with YBNL Nation and released his debut studio album ‘Gold,’ which debuted at number 7 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
