Semi-finals Patriots Vs APR REG Vs IPRC-Kigali In-form Rwanda Energy Group basketball club (REG) this weekend return to action with a semi-final date against IPRC-Kigali on Saturday, October 16, after marching into the group knockouts of the 2020/21 basketball National league unbeaten. Henry Mwinuka’s side confirmed their clash against Jean Bahufite’s IPRC Kigali after beating Shoot 4 stars 81-53 in the quarter-finals last weekend. In light with this, the players have to work hard in the semi-final if we are to achieve our goal,” Mwinuka said. Meanwhile, IPRC-Kigali advanced to the semi-finals after a dominant 88-77 win over IPRC-Huye in the quarter-final. Meanwhile, reigning champions Patriots will be up against APR in another semi-final showdown as they look to retain the league title in style. Patriots also secured their ticket to the semi-finals after beating 30 Plus 106-61 on Saturday to set up a league rendezvous with APR who defeated UGB 93-51 to book the final slot of the semis. Women’s semis In the women’s semi-finals, the Hoops will face APR, while IPRC-Huye will be up against Ubumwe. Kigali Arena is the sole venue to host all semifinals which will start on October 16.
