Rwandan singer Juno Kizigenza has released his first Extended Play (EP) titled ‘6kg’ as he continues to establish himself among Rwanda’s renowned Afro and RnB musicians. “I named my EP, ‘6KG’ simply because it has six songs on it which are ‘Aracyagwa’, ‘Monica’, ‘Taruka’, ‘Umufungo’, ‘Konsoma’ and ‘Birenze’,” Juno said. “My EP will drop tomorrow morning, on all streaming platforms. And on my YouTube channel ‘Juno Kizigenza’. I took enough time to work on my EP and I am sure my fans will be very impressed. They will have trouble picking their favourite song because each song was made uniquely and has its own specialty,” said Juno. Bob Pro and Herbertskillz contributed in mixing and mastering some songs, Santana composed of some songs, while Madebeats, Pastor P, Holybeat were in charge of the production of the EP. Juno’s recent song ‘Kizigenza’ reflects his one-year journey in music, challenges and what has been empowering him along the way. He dedicated the song to everyone who is discouraged to not give up on their dreams. Juno confirmed that he will perform with singer Ariel Wayz at the 17th Kwita Izina ceremony held today, September 24. Since 2020, his profile has been on a steady rise, thanks to a handful of singles and collaborations like ‘Mpa formula’, ‘Nightmare’, ‘Please me’, ‘Nazubaye’ and ‘Solid’, as well as collaborations with a string of local musicians. Juno joined the music in 2020, signed under Igitangaza Music Label. He however left the music label this year in June and his music has continued to see a boost.
