The race brought together dozens of riders aged between 17 and 19. Ufitimana who plays for Les Amis Sports fended off competition from riders like Didier Twagirayezu of Kayonza Cycling Club, whom he beat by only 13 seconds. “I am full of emotion after winning the race. I gave a huge effort and this win will give me huge encouragement, Ufitimana said after the race. I have to keep working hard so that I can improve my level every day. I have a long way to go. I always believed in myself and I have to keep the same spirit,” he added. In the general classification, Didier Twagirayezu (Kayonza Cycling Club) finished in second place, Aimé Ruhumuriza (Cycling Club for All) came third, while Phocas Nshimiyimana (Benediction Club) was fourth. The race attracted 43 riders.
