Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) volleyball clubs, on Sunday, August 3, won the Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) tournament in the men’s and women’s categories respectively. The KAVC tournament is organised annually by KAVC, a Ugandan volleyball club. ALSO READ : Volleyball: Kepler, Police win Liberation Cup This year, it brought together clubs from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, and Tanzania which competed from August 2 to 4. During the finals that took place on Sunday, RRA beat Police 3-2 in the women’s category while REG outplayed APR men’s team, beating them 3-0. ALSO READ : Rwandan teams set for KAVC memorial tourney in Kampala A third place match in the women’s category was played between APR and KAVC. The Rwandan side came out on top with a 3-1 victory. In the men’s category, Equity of Kenya beat KAVC 3-0.
