Local top Hip Hop star Malick Bertrand Ndayishimiye best known as BullDog has released his new album after six months of producing it. The album follows a hit song that he released two months ago titled ‘Mood’ which took over local TVs and airwaves. It was produced by Piano the groove and has 12 tracks, featuring renowned Hip Hop artistes like Green P, P Fla and Fire Man. Bulldog told The New Times that the main inspiration and message behind this album is to bring back the spirit of hip-hop in Rwanda. “It took me more than enough time to write this album, just to alert people that real hip hop still exists in Rwanda” “The main message reflects its name. I wanted to give people therapy through my music, where everyone can learn and heal from it. It holds broad message, from religious to secular life, everyone can get something from this album” Kemo therapy is a couple of words that link Kemo which is short for Kemosabe, BullDog’s other name, and therapy which means therapy from Kemo, according to Bulldog. BullDogs message to his fans and music lovers is to support his music, and bring back the good image of Hip Hop music which many people have started to give up on. While asked about the Drill genre which he has also jumped on, he said that it’s a nice style which is merging at a good pace, advising musicians to use it and spread a worthy message. BullDog is a renowned songwriter and singer in Rwanda’s music industry. Some of the songs on the newly released album include ‘King Salomon’ Ft Linda Montez, ‘Street Nigga’, and ‘Kabuhariwe’.
