R&B singer Yverry is set to entertain music lovers with a live performance at the ongoing Iwacu Muzika Festival 2021, scheduled for today, August 28. The virtual event will take place at Kigali Arena and, as usual, will be broadcast live on Rwanda Television at 8:45pm. The singer, born Yves Rugamba told The New Times that he is excited to give music lovers a good show. “It is not my first time to headline this festival but I missed performing for my fans and music lovers. Now I have a chance to entertain them even though it will be virtual but I hope they will enjoy and have a good time. “I have different projects that I am working on, but mostly on my second album to come after my first one ‘love you more’ that I launched last year on valentines’ day. I will be releasing singles that are on my second album and the second song dubbed Mwi Juru will be out soon after Love you more,” says Yverry. In an interview Yverry said that he is to give a good performance as usual and hopes Rwandans who will be watching from home will enjoy every moment of the festival. He will headline the festival, following previous performances by Platini who opened the festival on June 26, RDF Military Band, Mani Martin, Cyusa Ibrahim, Peace Jolis, Naason Solist and Edouce Softman, Bruce Melody and Israel Mbonyi and a double experience with Bushali and Bluestone who performed last Saturday. Iwacu Muzika Festival, which seeks to promote the Rwandan music industry by bringing together different artistes in their age brackets on the same stage, is organiz6ed by East African Promoters, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Culture, Tembera u Rwanda, RBA, among others.
