As most entertaining leagues in the world of football resume, Canal+ Rwanda has announced a new promotion to allow fans watch their preferred clubs and leagues at affordable prices. The leagues which mostly started this month include Serie A in Italy, La Liga from Spain, English Premier League, the German Bundesliga and the French Ligue 1. Other continental showpieces on offer include Europa League and Champions League which are set to start very soon. These upcoming leagues prompted Canal+ to think about a new product for customers, said Sophie Tchatchoua, the Managing Director of Canal+ Rwanda during a news conference. “We know that more people are eager and interested to watch the matches of these famous football leagues, so we have initiated a discount to facilitate them,” she announced. In the new promotion, the content distributor has halved the price of decoders from Rwf20,000 to 10,000 with all the accessories including its antennae, cables and remote control to name a few. After buying the decoder, you also buy Ikaze bouquet at Rwf5,000 and get access to 188 channels including all Italian Serie A matches as well as Afrobasket games taking place here in Kigali. With the bouquet, you can also watch French Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga of Germany. “So, we did not forget our loyal customers, we also have something for them. They have a chance to win prizes as they renew their subscriptions,” commented Jules Wanda, the head of marketing and customer retention department at Canal+ Rwanda. Every week, all those who have renewed their subscriptions stand a chance to win different prizes in a lottery. The prizes include shopping vouchers among other goodies. The lottery will end on August 31 and the promo on the September 10, 2021. Apart from broadcasting, Canal+ is also making things happen. The company is currently the official broadcaster of Afrobasket and its sponsor at the same time! Canal+ Rwanda is a trilingual broadcasting company delivering its programs in English, French and Kinyarwanda for Rwandan subscribers. It is best known for sports, but its 200 channels also include movies, documentaries, and soaps among other exciting programmes.
