Rwandan champions APR have reinforced their roster with the addition of American point guard Isaiah Miller who signed from NBA G League side Salt Lake City Stars. The club announced the new signing on Wednesday, July 31. Miller, 25, becomes the second G League player to ever join the ‘Lions’ after Obadiah Noel who played for them earlier during the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2024. He is set to make his debut when APR take on Rwanda Energy Group (REG) basketball club in the highly anticipated league derby on Wednesday night, July 31. The season-defining clash, touted as one of the biggest rivalries in Rwandan basketball, tips off at 8:30 pm at Lycée de Kigali (LDK) gymnasium. In 2021, Miller joined the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 2021 NBA Summer League and, on September 20, 2021, he signed with the Timberwolves. However, he was waived prior to the start of the season. On October 26, he signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Iowa Wolves as an affiliate player. In May 2022, he was invited to participate in a free agent camp by the Utah Jazz. He subsequently made the Jazz Summer League roster. On August 3, 2022, Miller signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, but was waived prior to the start of the season. On October 23, same year, he joined the Salt Lake City Stars. On October 21, 2023, Miller signed with Utah, but was waived the same day and on October 30, he rejoined the Stars.
