After graduating in 2012, I started working on my first album ‘Fresh and Clean’, later I joined university at Unilak, which hindered the progress of my projects and decided to release the album in 2017. That’s when I started making music professionally” he said. “I was inspired by life and different people who saw the talent in me” he added. He further gave a sneak peek on how he made ‘This City’, his recent song which is currently trending on all platforms. “The song is about me telling a girl how we are going to make all the different towns of the world talk about us as a successful couple” said Skpado. “I was inspired by some couples like the infamous Bonny and Clyde. I gave it a unique style because people usually know me as a Dancehall and Reggae person so I had to make it different by adding some Afro-Fusion and a little bit dancehall” he added. Skpado’s vision is to see his music career recognized on an international level like some of the artistes in Rwanda. “I want to see my music on an international level.
