Gospel singer and songwriter Israel Mbonyicyambu is set to entertain Gospel lovers with a live performance at the ongoing Iwacu Muzika Festival 2021 set to take place today, August 14. This virtual event take place at Kigali Arena and, as usual, will be broadcast live on Rwanda Television at 8:45pm. Israel Mbonyi told The New Times that he is ready to share with people the good message that God put on his heart. “To all Gospel music lovers I invite them to a show of praise and worship and I am sure we all will have a good time. They should expect a perfect time for refreshment especially during this hard time when we all are experiencing this pandemic. Many of the songs will be about uplifting and consoling people”, Mbonyi said. “I have projects that I am working on and I’m hoping to share them with people at the right time”, he added. Israel Mbonyi’s recent song ‘Baho’ caught many people’s attention, especially his fans. He will headline the festival, following previous performances by Platini who opened the festival on June 26, RDF Military Band, Mani Martin, Cyusa Ibrahim, Peace Jolis, Naason Solist and Edouce Softman ,and Bruce Melodie who performed last Saturday. Iwacu Muzika Festival, which seeks to promote the Rwandan music industry by bringing together different artistes in their age brackets on the same stage, is organized by East African Promoters, in partnership with the ministry of Youth and Culture, Tembera u Rwanda, RBA, among others.
