Rwandan envoy Rosemary Mbabazi on Thursday, July 25, presented her letters of credence to President Patrice Talon of Benin in a ceremony held in the capital Cotonou. Mbabazi conveyed a message of warm greetings to President Talon from his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, and expressed her commitment to identify creative ways to expand cooperation between Rwanda and Benin. ALSO READ: Rwandan envoy presents credentials to Ghana president “The two countries already enjoy good fraternal relations characterised by a wide range of Memoranda of Understanding and other agreements that have been signed to provide a conducive cooperation framework,” a statement from the embassy read. Talon acknowledged the warm friendship between Benin and Rwanda, underlining his close connection with President Kagame. HE tasking his team to work with Ambassador Mbabazi to ensure that these diplomatic ties continue to bear fruits. Rwanda and Benin already collaborate in various sectors including in ICT and digitisation, public service modernization, urban planning, agriculture, peace and security among many others. Her residence is in the Ghanaian capital Accra.
