Trade is a very important concept that has become the basis of life in the world for many centuries. This important concept, which we call trade, generally involves two parties; buyer and seller. Day by day, commercial perspectives have become the star part of the approach which is called capitalism, which has completely changed todays world. The importance of money came to the fore with the industrial revolution movement that emerged especially in Europe and started to spread all over the world in the early 1900s. From this period, commercial relations ceased to be a daily part of life and started to be taught as a branch in schools and universities and gained importance in academic terms. With the effect of digital transformation and high-dose capitalism that started in the 21st century, trade has become one of the main elements in every step of human life. Today, trade has become a critical goal, not a tool in every field. In my personal opinion, there is a tripod that constitutes the trade. they are seller - product - buyer respectively. In todays article, I will share the responsibilities of the seller. The seller is called, it is the person who sells the product to the market by adding his own margins to the price he bought or produced himself. The place where the product is sold; It can be an internet environment, a shop, a large shopping mall, or a factory. Even though the places change, the values that are the basis of trade never change. As an experienced salesperson, welcoming the buyer and making the first contact with a smiling face is the biggest positive step for the current business transaction, regardless of what the product is. The product can be ready-made or a technical project or a piece that requires a tailor-made solution, in all of these, the performance of the seller, the product knowledge and the fair approach in pricing are of great importance for the continuity of the commercial process. Of course, in business life, everything may not always go as desired. The product may be defective or broken. In such cases, we should always stand with the customer. At the end of the day, people invest their money in your product and it will be a great source of happiness to see that the place where the product is sold is with them. Do not forget that the trust you gave to your customer in the first place will return to you as a very long-term business contract. My tips for being a good salesperson; A good salesperson should always greet their business partner with a smile and positive energy. The product he sells may be a very simple piece or a detailed technical product. Regardless of the conditions, the salesperson should have a perfect knowledge of the specs of the product he is selling. In pricing, he should find a fair middle ground by defending the interests of the company he works. The customer should definitely not be viewed as a one-shot, and calculations should be made with long-term consideration in every step taken. A good salesperson is one who responds to his customers phone calls and emails 7/24. If the company has given you a phone call, the purpose of this phone is for you to respond to your customers requests even after working hours. For a good salesperson, the boss is always the customer. A good salesperson should always display an impressive attitude with his clothes and stance when he is with his customer. Keeping an archive is very important in the sales business. Customer visits, prices, specifications of the products sold and important days should always be recorded. On important days and weeks (religious days, national holidays), customers should be called and contacted. Customers do not forget their business partners who remember them on such important days and always approach them more sincerely. A good salesperson should establish good internal balances. He should keep his relations with his subordinates and superiors as well as possible. It should not be forgotten that your peace of mind within your company will definitely be reflected in the energy you project to the customer. If you are selling a technical product or project, you are responsible for the production of your order until it is shipped. With this awareness, you must be master of all processes. Of course, one of the most important duties of a salesperson is payment collection. You should follow up your customer payments at the most optimum time, considering the interests of the company you work for. It should be remembered that a sale is realized only when the payment collection is completed. If you apply most of the items I mentioned above at an optimal level, I’m sure you can achieve your goals to become an effective and leading sales person.
