Rayon Sports will host Tanzania’s Azam FC in a friendly match that will take place at Amahoro Stadium on August 3 as club prepares for the 2024/25 season. The match is part of the routine annual ‘Rayon Sports Day’ fete, a special ceremony during which the club particularly presents new signings and unveil new squad, partners and new kits for the new season in general. This year's celebration event will be preceded by the 'Rayon Week', where the club will tour the country playing friendly matches in Huye, Musanze, Rubavu and other parts of the country. The Blues, who are marking the seventh Rayon Day edition in a row, will use the game against the Tanzanians to test their new players and get back to regular playing rhythm ahead of the 2024/25 football season. The club’s new signings include Ghanaian James Akaminko, who was playing for Azam FC, Patient Ndikuriyo, Fitina Omborenga, Richard Ndayishimiye, Omar Gning, Olivier 'Seif' Niyonzima, Fiston Ishimwe, Emmanuel Nshimiyimana, Abdul Rahman Rukundo, Haruna Niyonzima and Prinsse Elenga-Kanga and Adama Bagayogo. The latter scored an equalizer during Blues’ 1-1 draw against Gorilla FC at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday.
