SIX YEARS have gone by since US-based singer K8 Kavuyo announced his breakup with ex-girlfriend and Miss Rwanda 2009 Grace Bahati. The two have not seen eye to eye following their breakup and each led separate lives. Kavuyo has since been living with his new girlfriend Cynthia Umutoni with whom they gave birth to a baby boy in 2015, while Bahati continued to raise her son and pursue her studies. Later in January 2019, Bahati posted photos that showed a seemingly new relationship with a different person called Pacifique Murekezi and are now reportedly planning for a wedding in September this year. Bahati and Kavuyo were among a host of celebrities that attended the wedding of singer Meddy who tied the knot with his Ethiopian bride Mimi Mehfira in a glamorous ceremony held in Texas, United States last weekend. Kavuyo was among Meddy’s groomsmen at the wedding, which Bahati also traveled from Ohio to attend. After a long time without meeting, the ex-couple was seen at Meddy’s wedding in what looked like a deep friendly conversation as shown in the pictures circulating on different outlets. A close friend to the duo who preferred anonymity told The New Times that the reunion was planned to make peace between them and end their longstanding feud. “I am a friend of theirs and I believe there is still a bond between them. I think their lack of maturity and celebrity life prevented them from getting along,” he said. “They have an eight-year-old son together and the truth is that everyone is regretting their past feud,” he added. Bahati gave birth to a baby boy in 2012, becoming the maiden beauty queen under the restructured Miss Rwanda contest to give birth. They separated in 2015 but avoided on many occasions to talk about their break up in the media.
