Singer Medard Jobert Ngabo, commonly known as Meddy, is set to wed this weekend in the U.S where he is based. The singer is set to wed his long-time girlfriend Mimi Mehfira in a ceremony that will be attended by relatives and close friends in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, May 22. The love-smitten couple will host their guests to dinner after saying I do and celebrate their new status in the Southern U.S city, where they both live. Several musicians and Rwandan celebrities are expected to attend the wedding which Meddy and Mimi, or M&M as they prefer to call themselves, have kept under wraps for good measure. Ethiopian-born Mimi, as she is fondly known, was hosted to a bridal shower by her girlfriends. She wore a white gorgeous tiny dress and was all smiles as she looked forward to committing to the ‘Slowly’ singer for life. According to sources, Meddy’s parents travelled from Kigali to attend the ceremony which took place nearly six months after he proposed to the love of his life. It is also said singer King James will attend and perform at the wedding. The singer and Mimi will also travel to Ethiopia, Mimi’s birthplace, for a traditional ceremony and later come to Rwanda where they will host another ceremony. Meddy popped the question in a colourful event in Dallas, on December 18, 2020, which happened to be Mimi’s birthday. The two have been dating since 2016 and have not been shy to show their love publicly and on social media. It appears they got a seal of approval from both sides because the love train then started moving at breakneck speed. Wishing the couple all their best in their new journey!
