Angola’s Petro de Luanda confirmed their last-eight ticket after narrowly overcoming FAP of Cameroon 66-44 in Group B to make it two wins in a row, whereas US Monastir (Tunisia) also maintained their perfect record with an effortless 99-77 win over Nigerian side Rivers Hoops. Power- Forward Radhouane Slimane led US Monastir with 23 points, with Wael Arakji and Major Ater adding 17 and 12 points, respectively. The two sides – Monastir and Petro de Luanda – join Rwandan champions Patriots who were the first team to reach the knockouts on Wednesday. Home side Patriots and US Monastir, one of the title favourites, face-off in their final group game on Saturday. With the two sides already qualified for the last eight, they will be fighting for Group A top spot.
