Famous television host Ellen DeGeneres has said she is pulling the plug on her TV variety/comedy/talk show after its 19th season wraps up next year, according to an interview with the talk show host. For more than 18 years, DeGeneres has danced with her guests and the audience has played games and pranks with them and given away prizes. However, she and Warner Brothers informed their staff of the show’s demise in an interview with The Hollywood on Wednesday. When youre a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged, and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, its just not a challenge anymore. The news was also confirmed by Mike Darnell, the president of Warner Brothers Unscripted Television, who cited that the show will be missed. Although all good things must come to an end, you still have hope that the truly great things never will, he said, in a notice to the public. Darnell said that DeGeneres show started as the little program that could and became an absolute phenomenon. Since 2003, he added, it has established itself as the premier destination for both superstars and incredible heartfelt human interest stories. “The show and Ellen brought comedy, joy, happiness, comfort (and dancing!) to countless millions every day for 18 years. It was and is an indelible piece of the television landscape, and it will be sorely missed.
