After making his sensational return to Rayon Sports after 17 years, experienced midfielder Haruna Niyonzima has downplayed the possibility of becoming the captain of his new club. Niyonzima joined Rayon Sports as a free agent after the expiry of his contract with Libyan side Al Tawoon. He signed a one-year contract with Rayon and started training with the team on Thursday, July 18. ALSO READ: Niyonzima returns to Rayon Sports after 17 years In a media interview, the former Amavubi skipper was asked if he will be the captain of Rayon Sports, since he has captained many teams for which he has previously played. I have nothing to say about it; this team has leadership from the coach. I don't like it too much (being captain) even though I have been doing it for a long time. The coach knows who will wear the armband but that is not the purpose of bringing me to Rayon Sports,” he responded. He made his senior international debut for Rwanda in 2006, and went on to feature for the team 110 times and has scored six times for it.
