Rayon Sports on Saturday, April 24, announced the signing of Congolese striker Heritier Nzinga Luvumbu from Moroccan Club Athletic Youssoufia Berrechid and Kevin Muhire who rejoined the club after a season loan spell at Oman based Saham Club. The midfield duo has recently been linked to the Blues but the club administration kept their transfer a ‘secret’ until they signed. Luvumbu, 28, was part of the Congolese national team that eliminated Rwanda from 2016 CHAN quarter-finals before they went on to win the tournament. He was then playing for AS Vita Club where he spent three seasons (2014-17) before he joined Belgian second division club Union Saint-Gilloise during the 2017/18 season. He later returned to Africa to play for Moroccan side AS FAR during the 2018/19 season, scoring five goals in 27 games before he left the club to move to Youssoufia Berrechid in 2019. Meanwhile, Muhire rejoined the 2020/21 Rwanda Premier League runners-up as Omani Premier League, which is home to his former club Saham Club, remains suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic. He joined the Asian club from Egyptian Premier League club AL Gaish where he played last season on loan from Misr El Makassa. The 22-year-old midfielder was part of the history-making team that reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup. The ‘Blues’ are also reportedly in talks with Gabonese striker Allan Nono as the club seeks to reinforce its striking force before the Primus National League returns on May 1.
