Under her leadership, Sweden increased its development cooperation with Rwanda by 40 percent, focusing on human rights, democracy, climate, economic growth, and research cooperation. High Commissioner Daair, appointed in January 2021, significantly enhanced UK-Rwanda relations in trade, investment, and education, bolstering mutual growth within the Commonwealth. His tenure will conclude in September, as Alison Thorpe prepares to assume office, transitioning from her role as Head of Africa Department Central and Southern and Special Envoy to the Great Lakes.
