Brazilian tactician Roberto Oliveira Gonçalves do Carmo could return to Rayon Sports as head coach, five years after leaving the club. Robertinho, as he is affectionately called, severed ties with Tanzanian giants Simba SC after just one season and he is linked to a second spell at the Blues whom he handled between 2018 and 2019. Rayon last won the league title under the tutelage of the Brazilian who also guided them to the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup. The club, which is currently without a coach since the departure of Frenchman Julien Mette in June, sees the 64-year-old as the ideal man to curtail APR's five-year dominance with his huge experience. Times Sport understands that negotiations are underway between the club over a possible return and only the salary is delaying the agreement.
