Rwandans in the country and abroad on Wednesday, April 7, kicked off the 27th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. For the next 100 days, Rwandans will be joined by friends of Rwanda to mourn the more than a million lives that were lost during the genocide. This is how the first day of commemoration was marked in pictures, both at home and abroad.
