Relaunched on 17 February following a 12-month pause due to the Covid pandemic, the Young Leaders Program recruitment campaign is now live and has been extended until 5 April. What’s at stake? Identifying 100 Young Leaders among several thousand candidates from all over the continent and from France. This year’s edition shows a renewed ambition for the French-African Foundation’s flagship program, with the integration of profiles with a sports background and plans to provide public and private decision makers with operational recommendations. You are between 28 and 40 years old, committed and active on a daily basis in your community, your country, between Africa and France, as a leader, entrepreneur or head of a civil society organization? You wish to share your solutions, boost your project’s visibility, network with high profile individuals or accelerate your career? Africa’s economic, political and social challenges have never been so numerous and complex. For this reason, the French-African Foundation is recruiting 100 Young Leaders to design new solutions to address ongoing and emerging issues. Candidates will be selected from among the most promising talents in the French and African political, economic, social, cultural and sports spheres, while respecting gender parity. The Young Leaders Program provides its laureates with the opportunity to participate in two workshops, in France and Senegal, in order to enhance their leadership skills, engage with senior leaders from the public and private sectors and work on best practices examples on the theme of resilience in order to jointly develop solutions for a common future. How to boost economic recovery in the post-Covid era? What solutions can bring about inclusive and sustainable growth? What new levers of action should be activated to promote the continent’s development? How to foster women empowerment? So many essential questions which call for a fresh look and the impulse of a new generation of African and French decision-makers to deliver change, with the support of inspiring mentors.
