Defending champions Remera Buffaloes kick-start their campaign for a second consecutive rugby league title when they host a rejuvenated UNR Grizzlies at Red Cross grounds this Sunday. After pulling off home and away wins against the varsity side last season, Buffaloes’ coach-player Gerard Nsenga is upbeat about a possible repeat. “We are ready for the league. We will do what we do best,” Nsenga remarked. Although Buffaloes were not very active in are the transfer market during the off-season, Gerard reckons that they have beefed up the side of with a couple youngsters. “Last season, we had a couple of youngsters coming up with the ranks so some have moved up into the senior squad,” he said.
