Rwanda confirmed 146 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, February 3, raising the country’s total number of infections to 15,834. On the same day, three people; a 105-year-old woman, and two men aged 52 and 85, succumbed to the virus. So far, the country’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 208. According to the Ministry of Health, of the newly confirmed cases, 19 were identified in Kigali, 16 in Nyamagabe district, 15 in Kamonyi district, 12 in Nyagatare district, 11 in both Rulindo and Karongi districts, 10 in Gisagara district, five in Rusizi district, and seven in both Rubavu and Ruhango districts. Musanze and Kayonza ditricts confirmed six new infections each, whereas Huye, Kirehe and Ngoma districts reported three new cases each. Meanwhile, Gakenke, Ngororero, Nyaruguru and Burera districts reported two Covid-19 cases each. A single Covid-19 case was confirmed in Nyabihu, Rwamagana, Muhanga, and Gatsibo ditricts. The latest results were obtained from 4, 834 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours. Overall, 899,247 tests have been conducted country-wide. Rwanda so far has 22 Covid-19 patients who are in critical condition.
