Rwandan striker Kipson Atuhaire has completed his move to Uganda’s premier league club Wakiso Giant. Reports in Uganda indicate that the Amavubi international, who has been a free agent since he parted ways with his former Indian side Gokulam Kerala, put pen to paper on Monday, January 11. His move comes at a time when the club has been struggling for goals hence failing to register a single premier league win, having drawn all of its five league games in a row. With five points from five league games, the club is now just one place away from the relegation zone and is hoping Atuhaire will have an immediate impact in front of the goal once the league resumes on February 12, a week after the African Nations Championships (CHAN) finals in which Uganda is placed in the same group as Rwanda. Atuhaire, 29, previously played for URA FC and SC Villa before joining Rwandan clubs like Police, AS Kigali, APR FC and Musanze as well as in Cambodia and Malaysia. He was also called four times for the National Team, Amavubi from which he failed to score a single goal. He becomes the first signing for the club coached by Douglas Bamweyana.
