Rising singer Emmy Vox, real name Emmanuel Sibomana, has managed to secure new management that will promote his music. The 21-year-old launched his career towards the end of 2019, recording music covers, and a year later, he released his debut song Narabohowe, a collaboration with US-based singer Adrien Misigaro. It was, however, one of Emmy’s cover of Alpha Rwirangira’s Mercy that won the heart of Australian based Rwandan investor, Patrick Ndizeye, who took on management and the full responsibility of the production of his singles after he fell in love with his voice. When The New Times contacted him, he was recording another song with Gakondo star Mani Martin. Emmy said the news was unexpected but added that he was grateful for the opportunity. “It is unusual for an upcoming artist to get a sponsor. I thank God for this, but I did not expect it,” he said in an exclusive interview. The Umusaraba hitmaker, who is also planning to write another song with Alpha Rwirangira, signed a one-year contract that might be extended by agreement. It states that the artiste will be supported in both audio-visual productions of his songs and organizing concerts. This will be an enormous boost for the upcoming singer, since the lack of management for artistes has proven to be the leading cause for the fall of talented rising stars. This factor is because of the inability to raise funds which can facilitate their various career demands, including recording, video production, and concerts’ organisation.
