Editor, It’s shocking that the Auditor General’s report of the Fiscal Year 2007 reveals that 6.5 billion francs of taxpayer’s monies are unaccounted for; with 86 percent of the funds unaccounted for in the Local Government ministry. That is scandalous!The Auditor General, Evelyn Kamagaju, has certainly done her job and I think that it is time the lawmakers did theirs. I’m hoping that the every single lost penny is explained by the relevant people and if they can not, then I hope that they lose their jobs and are taken to court. It is time that those who ‘eat’ people’s money find out that that kind of behaviour shall not be left unpunished. I hope that heads roll. Kanombe
