Three people succumbed to Covid-19 in Rwanda on Saturday, December 26, raising the tally of the country’s Covid-19 deaths to 72. The deceased are all men aged 61, 71 and 89. On the same day, 74 people tested positive for the virus, increasing the nation’s Covid-19 confirmed cases to 7,871. The number of recovered cases so far stands at 6,227. According to results obtained from 2,174 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours. Of the new cases, 37 were identified in Kigali, 14 in Gakenke district, nine in Rubavu district and seven in Gicumbi district. Meanwhile, Muhanga and Huye districts confirmed two new Covid-19 cases, whereas Musanze, Rusizi and Gisagara districts reported a single Covid-19 case each. Rwanda has so far conducted 714, 431 tests.
