Positive comments keep pouring in after RnB singer, Andy Bumuntu, released his latest single ‘Snack’. The song completes his first album before he kick-starts his second album that will focus entirely on traditional music. The 26-year-old, real name Andy Dick Fred Kayigi, is widely regarded as one of the most talented Rwandan artists. Just a few minutes after Snack, was released it drew reaction from his fans in and out of Rwanda, who have been scaled up by his previous single “On fire”, which garnered him thousands of fans from Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia among others after earning almost 6 million views in a year. After the release of the song, one of his Kenyan fans identified as LayLae commented: “He never fails to impress us with every song. Ayee we want to come, steal you and make you a Kenyan, you are not Rwandan anymore, at this point you are ours and we are you”. Another person identified as Angie Kaboom commented, “A Rwandan guy who won my heart, come and be my snack, I am a Kenyan”. The song details a loving and caring man who is willing to give all he can for the best of his lover. It was produced by Bumuntu’s longtime producer, Flyest Music whereas the video was short by Eazy Cuts & Big Team. The starring dance crew includes Yannick Kamazi, Urban Song, and Jordan the-dancer. Bumuntu, in his previous interactions, has asserted that he wants to create compositions that do not only concern Rwandans, but lovers of music all around the world. The electrical engineer said that the new single is his festive season’s gift to his fans, who never stop showing their support towards his compositions. The Appreciate hit maker’s concert plans, which were slated for June 2020, were disrupted by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
