Renowned actor and film producer Willy Ndahiro on Monday unveiled his own studio, which will be home to a number of different film projects. The studio, dubbed ‘Ndahiro Empire Studios’, is a joint project of the filmmaker with his sister Natacha Uwera Ndahiro. The siblings opened the studio to sustain production of their film projects, including their latest movie series, Natasha Series, which has since Monday, December 21, started showing on Isibo TV. The idea to produce ‘Natacha Series’, according to Ndahiro’s sister, came about during the COVID-19 lockdown. The film’s season one comprises 15 episodes with each episode clocking at least 20 minutes. Ndahiro, who is famous for different popular films like Ikigeragezo Cy’Ubuzima, told The New Times that they thought of establishing their own studio not only to ensure that their series is produced on time but to also contribute to the production of a number of film projects from local filmmakers. “The main objective was to make sure that we successfully produce the ‘Natacha Series’ on time. But we can still welcome other filmmakers who aspire to produce their films at our studio,” Ndahiro said. Willy Ndahiro’s sister grew up watching her brother on the screens. Though she had a dream to one day, like her brother, take on acting, she instead chose to make her own film. The COVID-19 lockdown was an opportunity for her to embark on her own film project. Her idea was welcomed by Ndahiro who has been in the film industry for over a decade and has is committed to helping her implement her project and reach her dream. Natacha and her brother both feature in the ‘Natacha Series’. While ‘Season One’ of the movie series is now ready for screening, the siblings are now preparing to embark on the next season which is part of the other movie projects that they have on their agenda. Movie lovers will be able to follow Natasha Series every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday on Isibo TV.
