Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) will start on Monday, July 8 and end on 10 as a total of 202,999 candidates, including 91,189 males and 111,810 females will be participating. A statement from the National Examinations and School Inspection Authority (NESA) shows that the official launch for the exams will be held on Monday, as the Minister of Education, Gaspard Twagirayezu, will preside over an event at Groupe Scolaire Gisozi in Gasabo District where 465 candidates (239 males and 226 females) will be sitting for the PLE. ALSO READ: Best 2022/2023 PLE, O-Level students reveal secret to success Concurrently, the Minister of State for Education, Claudette Irere, will be at Groupe Scolaire Institute Filipo Simaldone in Nyarugenge District, where 175 candidates (92 males and 83 females) will be sitting for the exams. Other senior officials from its affiliated institutions will simultaneously launch the PLE at various examination centres. The national-level exams aim to evaluate the learning outcomes of P6 pupils who are completing their primary education and to guide their selection and orientation for lower secondary education. They will be conducted in 1,118 selected examination centres nationwide, involving 12,302 invigilators.
