APR Basketball club has re-hired Kenyan Coach Cliff Owuor to train the team in a deal that will see him at the club until end of the 2022-2023 season. The development comes a month after the club’s management announced that it was finalising talks with the 47-year-old tactician. Owuor previously coached APR men’s basketball club from 2006 before leaving in 2017. A reliable source from the club’s top management confirmed to Times Sport that an agreement has been signed, adding that Owuor had already jetted in the country. “The club has reached an agreement with Cliff Owuor to coach the club for the forthcoming 2 seasons.” He added, “We believe that he has a pedigree to take us to the next level and nurture our young talented players.” The army side finished in 4th place in the local league this year. The 2021 Bank of Kigali Basketball league will kick off next year in January, according to Rwanda Basketball Federation (Ferwaba).
